Drew McIntyre pulled from WWE live events due to a reported back issue
As seen during the August 12th 2022 edition of WWE Smackdown, Drew McIntyre teamed up with Madcap Moss to defeat The Usos. McIntyre was announced for a confrontation with the unified WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns on next week’s Smackdown.
According to Jason Powell of ProWrestling.net, WWE has pulled Drew McIntyre from this weekend’s live events due to lower back soreness. The decision is considered to be a precautionary measure and McIntyre is still expected to compete at the Clash at the Castle PLE. Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful.com also noted that McIntyre “has been working through a rough back injury” but the belief is that he won’t be having surgery.
