Details regarding how WWE’s creative process works in 2026

While speaking on his podcast, WWE Executive Director Bruce Prichard commented on how WWE’s creative process has changed over the years…

“You have a lot of different minds pitching ideas and different stories and things. There was a time when it was just the three of us. We did everything. We talked to the talent, talked to the producers, produced it, wrote it — we did everything.

Now you have a team of highly creative people pitching. I wouldn’t say it’s akin to a Hollywood writers’ room, but it’s pretty close. I think what we do is probably most similar to Saturday Night Live.

It’s people sitting around pitching ideas, getting with talent, pitching ideas, coming up with stuff, seeing how it can work into the shows, and then formatting the shows. That’s pretty much what it is.”

Prichard continued with details on how things are in 2026…

“You’ve got small groups over here. Then you get into your bigger group team, and then you go in and pitch to the leads. There are lead writers who pick out what they think is best. They’ll also formulate and outline the show and do all that stuff.

For someone who did it from day one, it’s interesting to listen to people who may have done it in previous lives. But the way it is now — there’s nothing that can compare to how it used to be.”
