Darby Allin says his neck was almost broken from being tossed by Powerhouse Hobbs and Kokosuke Takeshita
As seen during the January 10th 2024 edition of AEW Dynamite, Sting and Darby Allin defeated Powerhouse Hobbs and Konosuke Takeshita in a Texas Tornado tag team match. At one point, Darby’s neck awkwardly hit the bottom rope after being tossed across the ring by Hobbs and Takeshita.

During an interview with ksdk.com, Darbya mentioned the spot while talking about the general punishment he takes in matches…
“The thing with AEW is, you can expect the unexpected. I mean that, I’m not just trying to sell anything. Every week, there is crazy shenanigans going on. Last week, I almost broke my neck. This week, we have so much crazy stuff. Literally, it’s something different every week. We don’t play it safe. I was in town, I saw this arch, and I kind of want to jump off of it.”
