Damian Priest unable to make appearance at WWE Smackdown for dark match main event

WWE world heavyweight champion Damian Priest was originally scheduled to wrestle in a dark match main event against Jey Uso at the June 28th 2024 edition of Smackdown. However, Priest was unable to make the appearance and he issued a statement via Twitter/X…

“Unfortunately the honor of main eventing The Garden is not possible tonight. Still haven’t taken off. Stuck on a plane in a runway. Very disappointed and apologies to my people. This one hurts. Enjoy the show! #SmackDown I’m sure will be awesome.”

PWInsider.com reported that Finn Balor was Priest’s replacement.
