Crowd chants “Rocky sucks” during WWE RAW and Michael Cole acknowledges it on commentary
Last Friday on WWE Smackdown, Cody Rhodes seemingly stepped aside for Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson to face Roman Reigns at WWE Wrestlemania 40.
As seen during the February 5th 2024 edition of WWE RAW, there was an in-ring promo segment involving world heavyweight champion Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes. There were “we want Cody” chants and Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com noted that the company was passing out “#WeWantCody” signs to fans in the crowd. On commentary, it was stated that Cody was trending on social media for three straight days.
There were chants of “Rocky Sucks” and Michael Cole asked if it was 1996 again.
Rollins asked if Cody was going to face him at Wrestlemania 40 but before Cody could answer, Drew McIntyre interrupted the segment.
