During the WWE Unreal series on Netflix, footage was shown of creative pitches being made for the 2025 women’s WWE Royal Rumble match. Here was one of the ideas that was discussed in the writer’s room by WWE SVP of Creative Writing Ed Koskey…
“You get entrant 29 in there. They come in and there’s only two women. They end up doing a double elimination, so whoever is number 30 automatically wins. Chelsea Green walks down, wins the Royal Rumble.”
People in the room laughed and Paul “Triple H” Levesque said “we’ll figure something out.” Charlotte Flair ended up winning the match.
The creative team discussed an idea where entrants #28 and #29 eliminate each other, and #30, Chelsea Green, wins the Royal Rumble by default.
