Chris Jericho and others comment on zombies being used at Wrestlemania Backlash
As seen during the Wrestlemania Backlash PPV, zombies were used as lumberjacks for Damian Priest’s match against The Miz. The segment was done as cross promotion between WWE and Dave Batista’s new movie Army of the Dead.
Here were a few of the reactions to the segment from people in the wrestling industry…
Zombies…ZOMBIES? Wow that just set wrestling back 30 years.

I thought the zombie stuff was fun. If you didn’t, maybe you’re not fun. 🤷🏻♂️ Absolutely loved the last two matches. The sleeper though was Sheamus/Ricochet. That match was just badass!! #Backlash

Upon further thought, @DaveBautista allowed me the opportunity to reference plenty of zombie movies, and the mall I grew up working in.
Thanks, Dave#ArmyOfTheDead

I would like to formally applaud the Hoard of Zombie Lumberjacks™ for properly obeying the rules of the match. They remained outside the ring for the duration of the bout and attempted to keep both competitors inside without showing favoritism. 👏👍#WMBacklash #ArmyOfTheDead
