Chavo Guerrero confirms that he has re-signed with WWE
Former WWE cruiserweight champion Chavo Guerrero did an interview with Bill Apter and here are the highlights…
Status with WWE: “I just re-signed with WWE. So, I’m putting together—helping out with—their AAA show.
How AAA is different from other companies: “AAA is awesome—was always awesome. I mean, the Lucha Libre, you know, that’s where my family originated from. So, I have a big love of Lucha Libre. And just to see AAA under that WWE umbrella is pretty awesome, pretty cool. I just see such big things coming from this show. You know, one thing we want to do is keep the tradition of Lucha Libre and keep what makes Lucha so amazing. And when you combine that with WWE’s marketing and style, I think the sky is the limit. I think this show is going to skyrocket and give the fans even better wrestling. That’s what it’s about.”
Thoughts on Dominik Mysterio: “Well, Dominik, I mean, as a kid, he always idolized the Guerreros. He always wanted to be a Guerrero. You see, and that’s why— I mean, his dad’s Rey Mysterio, one of the best of all time—but he wanted to be like the Guerreros. So it’s pretty cool to see him actually trying to follow in those steps and kind of just using some light, steel Guerrero. It’s pretty cool to see.”
