Change made to one of the announced matches at WWE Wrestlemania 40

As seen during the April 5th 2024 edition of WWE Smackdown, it was revealed that Dragon Lee had been attacked backstage by a mystery person. Carlito was checking on Lee’s condition before officials and Rey Mysterio arrived on the scene.

In the next segment, Elektra Lopez defeated Zelina Vega. After the match, Dominik Mysterio and Santos Escobar attacked his father Rey. Andrade, who was out there with Legado Del Fantasma, turned against the group and helped Rey/Zelina.

It was later confirmed that Andrade will take Lee’s spot with Rey against Escobar and Dominik at Wrestlemania 40.
