Brody King was allegedly kept off AEW Dynamite due to the possibility of more “F*ck ICE” chants

MJF vs. Brody King for the AEW World Title is scheduled to take place at the 2026 Grand Slam event on February 14th. While a video package aired during the February 11th edition of Dynamite, neither man appeared in front of the live audience.

During the February 4th edition of AEW Dynamite, fans chanted “F*ck ICE” (United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement) as MJF’s match with Brody King began. While speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com noted that the call was made not to have Brody on the show this week due to the possibility of more “F*ck ICE” chants in Southern California.

Meltzer stated the following…

“The deal is that they didn’t want the fans in the arena to be chanting that. If Brody came out, there was that risk. When he comes back, it will happen again. I don’t know how they’re going to handle it. Maybe they are hoping it goes away.

This is again not a Tony [Khan] call. This is from above. You know what it is, nobody wants to get on [Donald] Trump’s bad side. If it wasn’t for that, nobody would care, it’s just a chant. Unfortunately they’ve [Warner Brothers Discovery] got a company they’re trying to sell and get regulatory approval from a guy who is gonna take that stuff personal. That’s just how it is.”
