Backstage regarding the new WWE world heavyweight title being introduced

As seen during the April 24th 2023 edition of WWE RAW, Triple H announced that a new world heavyweight title is being introduced. According to Justin Barrasso of SI.com, it was Paul Levesque [Triple H] and not Vince McMahon that made the decision to create a new world title. Barrasso was told by WWE sources that the new title was being introduced because each brand having a world title “is how Levesque prefers the setup and structure heading into the draft.”

“According to a circulating report, Seth Rollins is currently the leading contender to claim the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. However, @ringsidenews_ has been informed that this does not guarantee his victory, as Vince has been known to alter plans at the last moment.”
