Backstage news regarding United States champion LA Knight’s contractual status with WWE

As seen during the 2024 WWE Summerslam PLE, LA Knight defeated Logan Paul to become the new United States champion.

As Knight’s popularity had risen in 2023, it was reported that he was negotiating a new long-term deal with WWE but the two sides “were far apart on money.” At the time, it was said that Knight’s contract was set to expire in 2025.

In an update on Knight’s status, Fightful.com is reporting that he recently reached an agreement with WWE. It’s believed that Knight restructured and extended his WWE contract with a pay increase. It’s unknown how long the extension is for but Knight is now expected to stay with WWE well past 2025.
