Backstage news regarding Ciampa being pushed on WWE RAW

As seen during the August 1st 2022 edition of WWE RAW, Ciampa became the #1 contender for the United States title and will challenge Bobby Lashley on next week’s show. Ciampa was seen as one of the people that would benefit from the new creative regime led by Triple H.

According to Fightful Select, there have been increased discussions about enhancing Ciampa’s presentation. While not a guarantee to happen, there has reportedly been talk of him regaining his theme song from NXT. It’s expected that Ciampa will be put in more matches that showcase his wrestling ability.

“One source said that his demeanor has been ‘great,’ and he’s worked hard to make the most out of everything presented to him under Vince, when he didn’t even originally plan to ever be on RAW or Smackdown. In addition, as you can imagine, Ciampa’s promo with the Miz turned a lot of heads and impressed several people backstage.”
