Backstage news regarding Bryan Danielson’s loss to Jon Moxley at the 2024 WrestleDream PPV event

As seen during the 2024 AEW WrestleDream PPV event, Jon Moxley defeated Bryan Danielson to capture the AEW world title. The belief is that this was Bryan’s last performance as a full-time wrestler and an injury angle took place after the match ended.

According to Fightful.com, Bryan’s recent comments in interviews about his health issues were said to be accurate. Bryan reportedly thought that he probably shouldn’t have wrestled in a couple of the matches leading up to the WrestleDream event.

In regards to Bryan’s immediate future, it’s believed that he has legitimately been working without a talent contract for a number of months he doesn’t have any additional obligations. It’s being said that Bryan is effectively a free agent although he has claimed in interviews that he doesn’t envision going back to WWE at this time.

It was also indicated that Bryan specifically wanted to lose to Moxley to end his full-time wrestling career.
