Here are some backstage news items following the July 13th 2021 episode of WWE NXT…

* Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful.com noted that Johnny Gargano is said to be fine despite taking a nasty-looking bump into the side of the announce table during his match against Karrion Kross.

* As previously noted, Aliyah has reportedly been called up to the RAW brand. Fightful Select wrote the following about WWE’s decision…

“Her call up has been rumored for well over a month backstage, as it was said she made a good impression on officials during a scouting trip. By last night, the heavy speculation backstage was that she was moving up.”

* Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com is reporting that due to NBC Universal’s coverage of the Olympic Games, the July 27th edition of NXT will be preempted. The show will air on SyFy instead of the USA Network that week and possibly the week after that as well.
