An “unsanctioned” match confirmed for the 2025 WWE Elimination Chamber PLE

As seen during the February 17th 2025 edition of WWE RAW, Sami Zayn demanded a match against Kevin Owens at the 2025 Elimination Chamber PLE after Owens tried to “end his career” with a package piledriver. RAW General Manager Adam Pearce said Zayn was not cleared and turned down the request.

However, Zayn continued to argue for a fight and Pearce eventually agreed to Zayn vs. Owens in an “unsanctioned” match.
