According to Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com, Mark Davis suffered a fractured foot during his match against Powerhouse Hobbs from the March 26th 2025 edition of AEW Dynamite. While not confirmed, this injury possibly explains the sudden conclusion of the bout. Davis is anticipated to be sidelined for several months although he might still appear on television in a background role with the Don Callis family.

Davis previously missed a full year of action from October 2023 through November 2024 after breaking his wrist in a tag team match at the WrestleDream PPV event.
