A rumored title match for WWE Wrestlemania 39 now said to be “very unlikely”
For months, WWE Smackdown women’s champion Ronda Rousey vs. Becky Lynch has been one of the rumored matches for Wrestlemania 39 in California. In an update, Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com noted during Wrestling Observer Radio that WWE appears to be going in a different direction…
“Right now that is not the plan. Things change, the world takes you in different places. I don’t know what Ronda’s match is or what Becky’s match is. But, as of today, as of this morning, it was said to me that it was ‘very unlikely’ and another person who is very well connected said ‘I heard it’s dead.’ Definitely not the plan right now.”

Steven Muehlhausen of DAZN.com noted the following regarding the matter…
“In regards to no Becky Lynch vs Ronda Rousey at Mania, people close to Lynch feel the match has lost its luster and should’ve been 1 on 1 at WrestleMania 35 when Ronda was at her apex.”
