What is being said about Chris Jericho’s status ahead of the January 5th 2026 edition of RAW

Last week, it was reported that Chris Jericho is expected to sign a new contract with WWE and could return as soon as the January 5th 2026 edition of WWE RAW. While hyping up the show, general manager Adam Pearce seemingly made a reference to Jericho by using Jericho’s “break down the walls” catchphrase.

On Monday afternoon, PWInsider.com noted the following about the rumors: “We have heard from no one in WWE who believes Chris Jericho will be there tonight live in NYC as of this writing.” It was also mentioned that Jericho is still listed on the AEW roster page. Fightful.com noted that “unlike the other AEW departures, there was no internal memo today indicating Chris Jericho had left the company yet.”
