Video: Rhea Ripley officially vacates her WWE women’s world title due to injury
Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com is reporting that according to multiple sources, Rhea Ripley was injured during the April 8th 2024 edition of WWE RAW from her backstage brawl with Liv Morgan. Johnson noted the following the following about the situation…
“PWInsider.com has heard that the issue is severe enough that the talk internally is that Ripley may be forced to vacate her championship, possibly as soon as tonight’s episode of RAW. This is a breaking story and may be updated as necessary.”
In the opening segment of RAW, Rhea Ripley came to the ring with her arm in a sling. Rhea announced that she is stuck “on the bench” for quite a few months due to attack by Liv. Rhea said was instructed to relinquish her title and the crowd reacted by starting a “bullshit” chant. Rhea said it was painful but placed the title on the mat. Rhea issued a warning to whoever wins the title that she’s coming back for blood. Rhea added that if she saw Liv, she would have to be locked up in jail.
Liv came out by the ramp and mocked Rhea. Security was there to separate the two of them.
Via Twitter/X, Triple H wrote the following…
“Absolutely no doubt in my mind that @RheaRipley_WWE will come back tougher, stronger and more dominant than ever. Thank you, Rhea, for a reign that the entire @WWEUniverse can be proud of.”
