“About 5 years ago, my phone’s history was wiped and I lost all my text messages with my dad. Today, I discovered there is a glitch with the iOS26 update and it automatically recovered a ton of old messages including the ones from my dad over 10 years ago!
I am handling this well for never do i ‘ugly cry’ then boast to the internet cause I ran out of people to tell.
Before this, all I had left was this one screen shot i had shared of our last communication. So happy to have recovered years of small talk prior to this. Now excuse me while I find 20 places to save it, make copies, and carve it into a rock somewhere for safer keeping.”
