R-Truth issues public statement after his match on WWE SmackDown was stopped

During the October 16th 2026 edition of WWE SmackDown, Damian Priest faced R-Truth in a singles match. While making a comeback, Truth landed a missile dropkick but did not get back to his feet, prompting the referee to stop the match.

In a post via Twitter/X, R-Truth issued a public statement regarding the incident…

“I AM OK, Thank you ALL for your support, concerns and get well wishes , Wow, It truly feels amazing to feel and be loved I’m grateful for you all. On 10/16/2026 I almost passed away… Damien Priest tried to kill me,, I didn’t think he was That serious… But ok, I’ll be back.”
