TNA reportedly reached out to Sheamus about a potential Bound For Glory appearance
Former WWE star Sheamus (Stephen Farrelly) is now a free agent after he “rejected a restructured extension” from WWE earlier in 2026.
According to sources cited by False Finish, Sheamus was the primary name TNA considered for Moose’s open challenge at Bound for Glory before Max Caster accepted the challenge. Fightful.com also noted the following…
“TNA did reach out to Sheamus about possibly working TNA Bound For Glory, but it wasn’t a situation of ‘choosing’ Sheamus over Max Caster, Fightful has confirmed. As of two weeks ago, Sheamus had not committed to the booking. The rate between the two is vastly different.”
There is no official word regarding Sheamus potentially signing with AEW. It’s believed that “some big veteran names within AEW” have pushed for the company to hire him.
