Report: WWE moving forward with WrestleMania 43 plans in Saudi Arabia despite security concerns

According to PWInsider.com, WWE is still moving forward with plans for WrestleMania 43 to take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Representatives from Saudi Arabia were at WWE headquarters in Stamford earlier this month to discuss the event and related logistics. WWE is also expected to have contingency plans in place, as it does for other events in Saudi Arabia, and will work with private security experts in the region.

There have been reports that WWE has discussed potential domestic locations if WrestleMania plans need to change, but WWE sources told PWInsider that it is too early for such plans to have been finalized. However, the company has discussed contingencies for November’s Crown Jewel in case the ongoing issues in the MENA region require a change in plans.

The dates for WrestleMania 43 are reportedly pretty much locked in, although WWE is keeping them confidential on a need-to-know basis.
