Nyla Rose on her absence from AEW television: “There may be some things I can’t talk about”

Former AEW Women’s Champion Nyla Rose, who has not wrestled on AEW television since the end of 2024, spoke with Jasmin St. Claire about her absence. Nyla shot down the idea that AEW President Tony Khan is to blame for her absence…

“I genuinely don’t think it’s him. I genuinely, genuinely don’t think it’s him. You know how they say, ‘Trust your gut.’ And this isn’t me just, like, glazing him because he’s my boss or anything like that. It’s just, there may be some things I can’t talk about, or, like, things I can only speculate on, but in my heart of hearts, just the relationship that we have and, like, the conversations that we have, I don’t think it’s him, you know?”

Earlier this month, Nyla stated the following to Denise Salcedo about her lack of television time…

“It is a little frustrating. You know, in this business, you do have to be a little bit selfish to a degree, right? You can be selfish while being selfless. And this, I think, is one of those moments. I want more for myself. I want to do more.”
