Report: Triple H’s “number two” outside of creative gone from WWE

PWInsider.com reported on August 4th 2026 that Patrick Dooley, who was WWE’s Senior Vice President of Global Strategy & Corporate Development, has departed the company.

Dooley was described as essentially Paul “Triple H” Levesque’s “number two” outside of creative, having joined WWE in 2018 as Director of Global Strategy. During his time with WWE, he was involved in the company’s acquisition of AAA, additional partnerships including bringing AAA to FOX Latin America, and the return of NXT to Full Sail University, among numerous other deals and projects.

A WWE executive with knowledge of the situation told PWInsider that Dooley quietly exited in late July, around the same time as several other departures attributed to budget cuts.
