Nick Aldis comments on “Morning Glory” by Oasis being used as his music for WWE SummerSlam

As seen during the 2026 WWE SummerSlam Saturday PLE, Nick Aldis made his entrance to “Morning Glory” by Oasis. While speaking with Sam Roberts, Aldis explained how his entrance music came to be…

“Morning Glory was like, I would always listen to that song and I would always visualize, like, ‘God, this would be a killer entrance song,’ you know? I was talking about when I was a kid, right?

And you just—and then as you sort of progress in the business, you know, and you start to sort of figure out how things work, I sort of put it to the back of my mind, like, it’s not likely. That’s not going to happen.

Then Hunter [Triple H] texted me a couple weeks ago and said, ‘Perfect world, if you could have any music, if you could license any music for you, any song, like, nothing is off the table, what would you have?’

And I was like—and I kind of went through my sort of mental, you know, I went, ‘Morning Glory,’ you know? So I just—and he had mentioned something about, like, maybe something British, you know, a British band, like something, and I kind of—and I suddenly went, ‘Ah, Morning Glory.’

I was like, ‘I thought it won’t happen, but I’ve got to ask. I’ve got to—I’ve got to at least.’

I text back, ‘Ideal world, right? No restrictions, like, it’ll be ‘Morning Glory’ by Oasis.’

I’ve sent a few others, like some other ideas, like Muse and Kasabian, you know, a few other things, thinking like, well, they might be a bit more manageable.

Didn’t hear anything more about it. And I just kind of thought, it’s all right, you know, whatever.

Yesterday at SmackDown taping, we got ‘Morning Glory,’ and I was like, ‘Whoa. Like, what?'”
