Penta says it would be “amazing” if WWE utilized a six-sided ring
WWE Intercontinental Champion Penta, who previously competed in AAA’s six-sided ring, was asked during an appearance on the Battleground podcast whether he prefers wrestling in a six-sided or traditional four-sided ring. Here was the exchange…
Interviewer: “Does Penta prefer the four-sided ring or the six-sided ring?”
Penta: “Six-sided, definitely.”
Interviewer: “Have you ever tried to go to, like, maybe Hunter and say, ‘Hey, can we maybe try a six-sided ring one time?'”
Penta: “Wow. Why not? You know, why not? Nowadays, WWE can do everything. I just need to put the idea out there. Why not, bro?”
Interviewer: “I mean, we’ll put it out into the universe. SummerSlam, six-sided ring, Penta putting the title on the line.”
Penta: “Will be amazing, my man. It will be amazing like that.”
Interviewer: “Oh gosh. I get goosebumps thinking about it because of a six-sided ring. I get it. Some wrestlers don’t like it, but obviously you do. Let’s make it happen. Whether it’s at SummerSlam or we send Penta down to defend his Intercontinental Championship in AAA and they give us a six-sided ring. Just give us a six-sided ring one time.”
Penta: “Yeah, why not, bro? Penta is ready for everything. No matter the ring—six sides, eight sides, 10 sides—no matter what. Penta is always ready for war and to defend my Intercontinental Championship. No matter what, no matter who, and no matter where.”
