Awesome Kong formally retires at NWA Empowerrr PPV event
At Saturday night’s NWA Empowerrr PPV event, Gail Kim made a surprise appearance on the show but was confronted by Taryn Terrell, Jennacide, and Paola Blaze. Awesome Kong, who was one of Kim’s rivals in TNA/Impact Wrestling, made the save and took out the other three women.
Kong, who hasn’t wrestled since the end of her AEW run in late 2019, cut a promo and formally announced her retirement. Kong and Kim then embraced in the ring.
