Thekla (c) vs. Jamie Hayter for the AEW Women’s World Championship took place at AEW Dynasty 2026. Here are the highlights…

Thekla hit a spear early in the match and applied a submission, but Jamie got her foot on the rope. Jamie was able to build momentum as the two fought on the outside. After they fought on the ramp, Thekla gained the upper hand with a DDT. Thekla then delivered a top-rope flying crossbody to Jamie on the outside. Back in the ring, Thekla continued her dominance, but Jamie was eventually able to make a comeback. After hitting a Liger Bomb, Jamie delivered a tombstone piledriver, but Thekla kicked out.

Thekla regained the upper hand, but Jamie was able to counter the spear with a knee strike. However, Thekla raked Jamie’s eyes and pinned her while grabbing the ropes to retain her title.
