Iyo Sky vs. Asuka could end up taking place at Backlash instead of WWE WrestleMania 42

The official lineups for each night of WWE WrestleMania 42 were announced this week but Iyo Sky vs. Asuka was not included. Despite this, PostWrestling.com was told that the match is still expected to be added to WrestleMania Sunday’s card.

In an update, Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com noted the following…

“We were told it is up in the air and I guess this basically depends on how long they want the show to go and how much time is allotted for the six matches. There is a plan, and it may not even be the backup plan but the plan, to save the match for Backlash on 5/9. But we were told this decision is still up in the air.”

Women’s Intercontinental Champion AJ Lee noted on Twitter/X that she has been “fangirling over Asuka, Kairi, and Iyo for months, and I am unhealthily invested in this now.”
