What is being said about the rumors of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson being on the phone with Randy Orton
As seen during the March 13th 2026 episode of WWE SmackDown, Randy Orton turned heel against Cody Rhodes ahead of their match at WrestleMania 42. On the March 16th 2026 edition of WWE RAW, Orton was seen on the phone with an unknown person.
It was teased that the identity of the individual on the phone with Orton will be revealed during the April 3rd 2026 edition of WWE SmackDown. Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com noted the following in regards to Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson potentially being the mystery person…
“While Dwayne Johnson fits the bill and would be the biggest addition for a show that is behind on ticket sales, those in the company have denied the name to us. As noted before, if it was Johnson, it’s likely to be kept a secret from everyone but Nick Khan, Paul Levesque, and maybe Rhodes and Orton. But my impression is they have a name that at least those in the inner circle are aware of. They could still be working them but they are not of that impression.”
