Chris Jericho rumored to be making his return to AEW amid new trademark filing
Ahead of the April 1st 2026 edition of AEW Dynamite in Winnipeg, Chris Jericho is still listed on AEW’s roster page. Last week, Jericho filed a new trademark for the term “Cornerstone,” fueling speculation that his in-ring return is imminent.
Fightful Select noted the following about Jericho…
“Chris Jericho has been the subject of discussion recently, as he trademarked the phrase ‘Cornerstone.’ This has led to natural speculation about his landing point. Sources in AEW do have a growing belief that he will return to the company, especially with the nature of the trademark making more sense there.”
Media personality Andrew Baydala wrote on Twitter/X, “The noise surrounding Chris Jericho heading back to AEW has REALLY picked up. It’s interesting to say the least. Tonight and going forward should be very interesting regarding Jericho.”
Jon Alba of SI.com responded to Baydala with the message, “As I reported at the beginning of the year, people very high up in AEW were convinced he was WWE-bound. Whatever the circumstances are, that may not end up being the case.”

Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com also stated the following…
“Regarding Jericho, I was told a week ago from WWE not to expect him in WWE any time soon, if ever, regarding rumors going around of him starting in WWE & AEW, both of which were out at the same time when he filed for the trademark.”
