Original scrapped plan for Bron Breakker in WWE NXT revealed

While appearing on the No-Contest Wrestling podcast, Tony D’Angelo revealed the original scrapped plan for Bron Breakker in WWE NXT…

“When we first got in, me and Bron were in a tag together—Bron Breaker. So we were doing that for a minute, not on TV, but they were priming us. They were like, ‘This is what you’re going to do,’ kind of like the New Age Steiner Brothers type of deal.

I was wearing a singlet before that anyway, so it wasn’t that big of a change. But yeah, I just remember one day Road Dogg came up and was like, ‘Hey man, we’re not doing this.’

And it’s right when NXT 2.0 first kicked off. They kind of just did a clean slate, you know—everybody, we kind of have a lane for you. And I had to figure out quickly what I was going to do. So in one of the in-house matches, I just turned it on, and they were like, ‘Whoa, where’d that come from?’ type of thing—with the accent and all that.

And then they were like, ‘Yep, we’re running with this. This is it.'”
