Je’Von Evans issues response to Kevin Nash’s “he’s a little bit too Mr. Bojangles for me” comments
During his podcast from February of 2026, WWE Hall of Famer Kevin Nash commented on the work of Je’Von Evans in WWE while discussing Je’Von’s OG cutter. Nash stated that “he’s a little bit too Mr. Bojangles for me, I wish he was a little bit more urban.” Nash issued an apology but then deleted his comments.
While speaking to Adrian Hernandez, Evans was asked about Nash’s comments. Here was Evans’ response…
“If you’re not doing something right, nobody’s going to talk about you.
Usually, I feel like if you’re doing something right, or if they’ve got their names in your mouth, you’re grinding, you know what I mean? Like, some people have to do that just so they can get views or whatever.
Either way, at the end of the day, the young OG is going to keep on doing his thing. Young OG is going to keep on being Je’Von Evans, you know what I mean? No matter who likes it or doesn’t like it, you know?
I’m going to keep on having fun. And bro, literally, me being me got me to where I’m at today, you know? So apparently I’m doing something right, because my bosses love me.”
