Results of Jon Moxley vs. Konosuke Takeshita at AEW Revolution 2026 (Will Ospreay returns)

Jon Moxley (c) vs. Konosuke Takeshita for the Continental title in a no time limit match took place at AEW Revolution 2026. Here are the highlights…

The two men were evenly matched in the early moments. After the two traded strikes, Moxley regrouped on the outside. Takeshita went after him, but Moxley was able to gain the advantage, and then he brought Takeshita back into the ring. Moxley bit the face of Takeshita and targeted his knee.

Takeshita was able to fight back and have another strike exchange with Moxley. Takeshita delivered the Blue Thunder Bomb. However, Takeshita’s comeback was short-lived as Moxley gave Takeshita a curb stomp on the apron. Takeshita, who was bleeding from the eye, barely beat the ten count.

A fired-up Takeshita was finally able to make a significant comeback. Takeshita gave Moxley an avalanche exploder followed by a power-driven knee strike, but Moxley kicked out. Moxley hit a cutter, but Takeshita was able to pop back up. However, Moxley stopped Takeshita’s momentum with a Paradigm Shift.

Twenty minutes in, the two continued to exchange moves. Takeshita was able to hit the Raging Fire, but Moxley kicked out. Takeshita went for another strike, but his knee gave out on him. Moxley hit a Death Rider, but Takeshita kicked out. Moxley then hit an avalanche Death Rider, but Takeshita kicked out yet again.

Moxley went for a sleeper submission. Takeshita flipped off Moxley in one last act of defiance before passing out. Takeshita shook hands with Moxley after the match.

As Moxley celebrated his victory, a Will Ospreay video package aired. Ospreay then made his return and ran to the ring. Ospreay delivered a Hidden Blade to Moxley and continued to deliver offense until the Death Riders saved Moxley. Ospreay fought them off, but Moxley was able to escape.
