WWE Hall of Famer claims that Gunther has “manufactured heat” following win over John Cena
As seen during Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 13th 2025, John Cena lost to Gunther in his final match by tapping out. While speaking on his podcast, WWE Hall of Famer Kevin Nash said the following in regards to Gunther’s heat following the event…
“He doesn’t have real heat. He has manufactured heat. It’s the closest thing there is to heat on that show, but he doesn’t have heat.
I’m saying it’s like last week when he came out. His music plays, then his graphic plays, then he goes out and cuts a promo. Then [Adam] Pearce comes out and tells him to get the f*ck out of the building. So they played his music, played his entrance, gave him a microphone, he cut a promo, but when he got done, it was time to get the f*ck out of the building. Because you’re a bad guy and you’ve got heat.
I understood what they did with him, with [CM] Punk coming down to the ring for the final tag match. I mean, they’ve got to get him on the show, right? You can’t be the guy that retires John Cena, and then the next thing he does can’t be absolutely insignificant.”
