ESPN President says the company’s partnership with WWE has “gone great so far”

While appearing on the SI Media With Jimmy Traina podcast, ESPN President Burke Magnus commented on the company’s partnership with WWE…

“It’s gone great so far. You know, obviously we’re very familiar with Nick Khan and the team over there. We’ve had engagement with them for years in much smaller ways, but they’re fantastic to work with. They really hustle on behalf of their property. Those appearances don’t just happen unless you have a league that’s willing to make all those people available and fly them around and make sure they get there and do that. The superstars are highly engaged in promoting both themselves but also the broader WWE and their stories.

So it’s been really good so far. You know, we’re looking forward to WrestleMania this year, which would be our first. But we’ve had two PLEs to date. One of them was in the Middle East, so it was at an off hour. WrestlePalooza was new. And so Survivor Series this weekend actually will be a really good measuring stick for how it’s going. But in terms of the interaction between the team at WWE and us, it’s been great.”
