Jim Ross provides update on his health and AEW status ahead of the 2025 Full Gear PPV event

Ahead of the 2025 Full Gear PPV event, Jim Ross provided an update on his health and AEW status during his Grilling JR podcast. Here are the highlights…

How he’s doing: “I’m better. I’m better today than I’ve been in a long time. I feel good. I’m glad to be back on the air with you guys.”

Keeping up with his health: “My kids have been taking great care of me. They say it’s always best for a dad to have daughters, and I didn’t really understand that wholeheartedly until now. But with my daughters coming over, cleaning the house, and going to the grocery store—I mean, I’ve got it made, and I’m very happy. It’s great to have good kids. I’ve got beautiful kids who are absolutely fantastic to their dad, and I appreciate that very much. So, life is good, Connie. Life is good. I’m healthy. I had a cardiologist appointment yesterday, and he’s pleased with what he saw so far. I haven’t had any issues with my heart—it’s just a matter of checking the boxes and making sure everything’s cool.”

Return to AEW commentary: “Yeah, absolutely. Absolutely. That’s the plan — in the next few weeks. So, yeah, I’m excited about that opportunity.”
