Matt Hardy issues statement following WWE NXT tag team title loss at Halloween Havoc

As seen during the 2025 WWE NXT Halloween Havoc PLE, Matt and Jeff Hardy lost the NXT tag team titles to DarkState. After the match, Matt issued the following statement via Twitter/X…

“Thank you for having our back tonight at @WWENXT #HalloweenHavoc, Arizona! You guys & gals were WONDERFUL! We’re so sorry we weren’t able to retain the #WWENXT Tag Titles. The State of Dark swarm was relentless & never-ending tonight. Our journey is nowhere near over, myself & Brother Nero have SO much left to do. Very happy we could pay homage to Bray tonight – We love you & miss you, Windham.”

Matt and Jeff are still the TNA tag team champions. It’s unknown when their next WWE appearance will take place.
