Seth Rollins officially stripped of the WWE world title; plans for a new champion revealed

As seen during the October 13th 2025 edition of WWE RAW, The Vision turned against world heavyweight champion Seth Rollins. According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com, the angle was done because Rollins suffered an injury at the Crown Jewel PLE on Saturday.

At the start of RAW on October 20th, general manager Adam Pearce announced that Rollins has been stripped of the title. A battle royal was then announced with the winner facing CM Punk for the vacant championship at Saturday Night’s Main Event.

Jey Uso won the battle royal to become Punk’s opponent for the title.
