Report on why Andrade disappeared from AEW television after making his return to the company

During the six-year anniversary edition of AEW Dynamite, Andrade made his return to AEW. However, he has not appeared on AEW television since coming back to the company.

Earlier this month, it was reported by Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com that Andrade “was cut due to numerous WWE Wellness violations over the last year.” Johnson was told that the decision was made to cut Andrade outright, making him free and clear to perform elsewhere.”

While speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Bryan Alvarez and Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com addressed the situation…

Alvarez: “I was told that he’s not hurt. He didn’t get himself fired. Apparently something is up involving his WWE non-compete… I was given the impression it could be something that can be resolved quickly or it could be something that might not be resolved for awhile but it’s something related to the non-compete.”

Meltzer: “That is what I’ve been hearing, that WWE sent a letter. AEW obviously believed that there was no non-compete. That story is that they said he can’t do them [appear on AEW television] for 90 days. He’s going to be in AEW, at least most-likely.”

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful.com stated the following about the story…

“The Andrade situation is very weird. Even people in WWE thought he didn’t have a non compete.”
