Darby Allin says everyone has been on the same wavelength in AEW since “the cancer got cut out”

During an interview with Ariel Helwani, Darby Allin discussed the state of AEW in 2025. Here is what Darby had to say…

“Everybody’s on the same wavelength. Everybody has the same goals. [What do you think the difference was? What changed?] The cancer got cut out. [Which is what?] Just egotistical wrest that don’t want to lose. [Are you specifically talking about one person or multiple people?] No, just the groups of people. There’s a lot of people.

That’s what I was saying earlier with wrestling. With climbing Mount Everest, it kept me so grounded and level-headed. At the end of the day, this is all staged. It’s the greatest thing in the world, but it’s staged. So if you’re going to have an ego about that, get out of the f*cking sport. Go be in the UFC. Go try, you know what I mean? Don’t be bringing that sh*t here.”

While his name was not mentioned, CM Punk was allegedly referred to as a “cancer” by Chris Jericho in 2022.
