Naomi and Jimmy Uso address the news that they are expecting a baby
As seen during the August 18th 2025 edition of WWE RAW, Naomi confirmed that she was pregnant and relinquished her women’s world title. In a special edition of Stephanie McMahon’s podcast, Naomi and her husband Jimmy discussed the pregnancy.
Here are the highlights from Naomi…
How she found out: “In my hotel room. I had been feeling a little different, a little weird. Just wanted to take a test to make sure—kind of rule that out. Not thinking much, because it’s been a long journey with fertility issues. I just really didn’t think it was possible.
Her medical history: “To understand how we got here, you gotta know the whole picture—the medical history. Earlier in our relationship, before I debuted as a Funkadactyl, I had an oophorectomy—the removal of my right ovary. Then, in 2020, we went through another major surgery, which was a myomectomy. The healing left a lot of scar tissue. On top of being older now—37—and only having one ovary, we thought for sure it wasn’t possible naturally.”
Her reaction to being pregnant: “I was shocked then. I’m shocked now. So many emotions—happy, excited, nervous, scared. I found out Sunday, called him, then had to go to work. Stress about telling work, especially being champion right now.”
Jimmy said the following…
“She won’t say it, but she felt like she let her fans down. Like there was a step back. But timing’s everything—God’s timing, we have to pivot. This is the biggest run of your life. She loves her fans. She thought about them and WWE right away. Just want people to know—y’all better proceed with caution if you come at her online.”
