John Cena’s retirement match could be going head-to-head with the AEW Worlds End PPV event
Earlier this week, it was reported that WWE will be adding a PLE in September 2025 on the same day as AEW’s All Out PPV event with John Cena vs. Brock Lesnar as the potential main event. While speaking on Wrestling Observer Live, Bryan Alvarez of F4WOnline.com noted that WWE could end up changing the date of Cena’s retirement match to compete against AEW…
“Originally, the final John Cena match was going to be in early December, on Saturday Night’s Main Event. This is not confirmed, but it does look like there is now discussion that the date will be moved so it will be head-to-head with AEW Worlds End. We did talk about how there was going to be one more of these before the year was out, and I think they’re going to try and put the final John Cena match on Saturday Night’s Main Event in Boston, head-to-head with Worlds End. We’ll see if that ends up happening.”
AEW Worlds End is scheduled for Saturday, December 27th in Chicago.
