Former WCW star Lex Luger now able to stand out of his wheelchair without assistance

In a video published by Diamond Dallas Page, former WCW star Lex Luger commented on how past mistakes affected his relationship with his children…

“I sure wish I was the man I am now, I still make mistakes and still do things I wish I didn’t do, like with my own children. I don’t have a relationship with them. That’s by their choice, and you know, I look back on it, and you know I can only let them speak for themselves, but you talked about regrets. They were chased out of school with TV cameras when they were kids, and when everything came down, the lies and the drama and the drugs and the alcohol … I wasn’t the kind of husband or father that I should have been back then I do understand there’s consequences, I’ll always be hopeful that someday have a relationship with my children. I think I’ve told you that. If not, I hope I see them in heaven.” (quote courtesy of WebIsJericho.com)

Luger has been working with DDP to regain mobility after suffering a nerve impingement in his neck that led to temporary paralysis in 2007. In a video clip, Luger was able to stand out of his wheelchair without assistance.
