Backstage WWE news items heading into the Netflix premiere of RAW
The Netflix premiere of WWE RAW takes place on January 6th 2025 from the brand-new Intuit Dome in Los Angeles. Here are a few news items heading into the event via Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com…
* In addition to a special cold open, the show will start with an in-ring promo from Paul “Triple H” Levesque about the story of WWE leading up to the Netflix premiere.
* The roster was reportedly informed that there are zero comp tickets available for the show. According to @WrestleTix, close to 17,000 tickets were distributed for the event as of Sunday.
* Johnson noted the following about possible surprises: “We’ve been asked about potential returns tonight, everyone from Charlotte Flair to Alexa Bliss. We are told that anyone returning, the company has a plan for them and it won’t be they just all return at the same time on the same night. ‘This isn’t the old WWE’, someone commented.”
* All of the top talents from NXT are said to be in the Los Angeles area.
* Since WWE won’t have a “hard out” to get off the air, the belief is that WWE will likely take advantage of RAW being able to go on longer than usual. According to @WrestleVotes, RAW could end up going around three and a half hours tonight.
Sources indicate that, as of this morning, RAW is slated to run 3.5 hours tonight. While minor adjustments are possible, expect the show to fall within that range.
