Rumor killer regarding WWE Head of Media & Production Lee Fitting’s status with the company
Last week, an article published by The Athletic on NYTimes.com covered WWE Head of Media & Production Lee Fitting’s departure from ESPN prior to him joining WWE. The article noted that there were misconduct allegations against Fitting which included objectifying women, criticizing their physical appearance, and making crude jokes in the workplace.
Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com noted the following in regards to WWE’s reaction to the article…
“PWInsider.com is that WWE was aware of the Fitting situation at ESPN at the time of his hiring. We are also told that, thus far, as of this writing, there has been no known fallout of the article’s publication within WWE.”
There was internet speculation of Fitting being in trouble with WWE because his name wasn’t listed on the credits for RAW. However, Fitting’s name was never removed from the RAW credits as RAW doesn’t have credits displayed at the end of the broadcasts. Lee was credited at the end of WWE NXT on December 24th 2024 as he typically is.
