Angle with Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens takes place after WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event goes off the air

As seen during WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 14th 2024, Cody Rhodes defeated Kevin Owens to retain the Undisputed WWE Universal title. However, the feud between Cody and Owens doesn’t appear to be over.

After the show went off the air, Cody started to cut a promo but was attacked by Owens. Owens then took out Cody with a package piledriver. Owens left the ring with the Winged Eagle title as Cody was placed on a stretcher. As Owens headed to the backstage area, he was confronted by Paul “Triple H” Levesque.
