Backstage news regarding Drew McIntyre’s return to television on the December 2nd 2024 edition of WWE RAW

As seen during the December 2nd 2024 edition of WWE RAW, Drew McIntyre made his return to television by attacking Sami Zayn. Last week, it was reported that creative discussions had started in regards to McIntyre’s return.

Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com noted the following regarding McIntyre’s return to television…

“McIntyre’s return was not expected to be this soon and the belief backstage last night was that the injury to Bronson Reed at Survivor Series led to McIntyre returning a few weeks earlier than initially planned. McIntyre had been advertised for WWE’s holiday week live events including Madison Square Garden, so he would have been back in the ring by then and perhaps returning on the Raw Netflix debut, but he’s now back in the storylines.”
